Welcome to the NEHA website

Promoting excellence in hotels in the North East of England

Who We Are

The North East Hotels Association (NEHA) is now believed to be the biggest of its kind in England – now comprising 43 regional hotels.

Where We Meet

Meetings take place in member properties every 6 to 8 weeks around the region, with a busy agenda and speakers.

About the NEHA

The North East Hotels Association (NEHA) is now believed to be the biggest of its kind in England – now comprising 43 of the best-known hotels in the region. Our contribution to the economy and GDP of north east England is enormous. We offer 4,500 bedrooms and spend £70 million on purchasing goods and services.

Total hotel revenue exceeds £200 million and our total economic footprint is £616 million.

We employ 3,400 people and influence 11,400 jobs in the region.

We are the voice of our sector. We speak out, influence and challenge.

Excellence Awards

Over the past six years we have hosted the NEHA Awards seeking out the best people, those that have gone the extra mile in providing outstanding service.

Training & Qualifications

The creation of 3 new training and learning qualifications officially designed and endorsed by the Association and delivered by Newcastle College.

Working with Others

We have a lot of influence with hospitality industry specific challenges and with business and social challenges outside of our industry.  By combining our lobbying, purchasing and social power we are in a great position to affect real change.
